Another Mis-step

With the stroke of a pen President Obama doles out another raft of Billion dollars for "jobs".  No where in today's New York Times news article does it tell the real story that private enterprise is being whip-sawed by the whims of Washington bureaucrats.  Whether it is the ongoing "Obama-care" saga or attacks from the myriad Federal agencies, the climate for free enterprise is poor and the damage to the markets is mounting.
The article reports:

The bill gives employers an exemption from payroll taxes through the end of 2010 on workers they hire who have been unemployed for at least 60 days. It also extends the federal highway construction program, shifts $20 billion to road and bridge building and allows small businesses to accelerate the depreciation on investments they make in equipment, by allowing them to write off purchases of up to $250,000 right away.

What happens after the end of 2010?  WIth credit still tight where do "small businesses" get the money to invest in equipment?  Where is the $20 billion for construction coming from? After all, the Federal budget has a trillion dollar deficit, give or take a few hundred billion.  The bottom line is that every step this administration takes regarding the economy is a mis-step.
