Makers and Traders

"If a small group of men were always regarded as guilty, in any clash with any other group, regardless of the issues or circumstances involved, would you call it persecution?"  (Ayn Rand, Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal, p 37)

Those words, originally spoken in a lecture almost fifty years ago, could have been spoken yesterday.  It is this view of business that we see all too often - when the media, politicians and others lose sight of the fundamental truth that their lives depend upon the makers of goods and services;  their well-being depends upon the traders who make our economic world work.  These are fundamental realities that are all too often denigrated or ignored, even when our lives depend on them.

Let us honor the Makers and Traders.
